Blue is the new Green….
Harcourts APG locally here in Bunbury and the South West are proud to be actively working on sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint on the environment.
The most recent of these has been working with Glen Holland and his team at Sunwise, placing 40 solar panels on our commercial premises here at 30 Carey Street Bunbury. This being double our energy requirements the balance goes back into the grid to help others. Glen and his team did a fantastic job taking everything into account with recent shire law changes and explaining everything then creating our solution personalized just for us, we were ready just in time for Earth Day.
But we hadn’t stopped there last year changing over all our property manager’s vehicles to better fuel efficient Barina’s, reducing our impact in fossil fuel as well. Thanks to Gavin Billington and Nic Riachi at our local Bunbury Holden.
Our Managing Director went that bit further with his new Electric / Petrol Hybrid by Mitsubishi, thanks to Russell Hall at Bunbury Auto Group, this working well with his solar panels at home and work now able to charge with almost no ongoing impact to the environment.
Back to the office we’ve switched our internal brochure printers from the standard toner based systems to the encapsulated ink system done by Xerox, called ColorQubes reduced our plastic cartridges going to landfill by 90% and also reduced the possibility of air born carcinogenetic as the ink is contained within wax and melted on to the paper making the work space a safer environment to work in and also water proofs the print as well. Thanks to Quinton and Amol at SOS Office Products here in Bunbury helping us find this environmental solution.
Our use of more digital marketing instead of the old print brochures with Harcourts group buying power we have negotiated incredible deals with social media company Adfenix and networked group online marketing through YouDigitalAgent.
Moving away from our standard property management software to our cloud based system with its own electronic document management system we are getting closer and closer to being paperless thanks to Rockends Property Tree system.
The next stage is working to switch our standard paper used to carbon neutral or recycled paper which is what we are activity looking for cost effective supplier currently.
We are proud to be contributing to a better world and even more happy we were able to have almost all of these solutions found locally, so if your environmental conscious and you are thinking or doing anything in real estate then call the real people in real estate that care about the world we live – (08) 9722 6666.
